Ningbo Association of Surveying and Designing was set up on March，17th.1994，consisting of the volunteers from the surveying and designing units。It organized by themselves as a non-profit organization。Including 112 units，of which are 30 standing members。With the aim to serve the government，the society and the municipal surveying and designing industry， it focuses on economic construction，coordinates and supports the transformation of the governmental functions；promotes development and progress of the industry；actively conducts the jobs as follows： to supervise and rule the quality of the surveying and designing industry； to establish and evaluate the best unit； to offer job training； to develop ISO 9000 Quality System advisory and verifying the certification； to watch and manage the market and the qualifications； to promote the progress of technology， information exchange， spiritual civilization of the socialist， the construction of enterprise culture and so on。 With the   nine years’great efforts， it gains a good reputation and favorable social image。While under the new situation，the association still devotes to sustaining its healthy development of this industry；acts as a bond and a bridges between the units； makes its own contribution to constructing Ningbo City into a “Modern International Harbor”。
